Located in downtown Vancouver, we are currently recruiting for a: MARKETING COORDINATOR One-Year Maternity Leave ReplacementThe Marketing Department has an opening for a 1-year maternity leave Marketing Coordinator position to join our team in November xxxx.Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the ideal candidate will be a dynamic, talented communications generalist who not only thrives in managing multiple marketing tasks and deadlines throughout the day, but also enjoys working as part of a valued and committed team. The successful incumbent will play a key role within the marketing team coordinating marketing, consumer sales and branding campaigns for both newspapers and their websites. Responsibilities include: - Booking and managing newspaper ads- Writing copy for marketing, online and direct sales programs- Liaising with graphic designers, printers and other vendors- Managing and tracking various marketing deadlines- Booking, scheduling and proofing marketing deliverables- Overseeing marketing materials archive- Assisting with social media updates as needed- Other marketing/administrative duties as assigned Skills and Experience: - Post-secondary degree/diploma in Marketing or Communications is required- Minimum 2 years experience in a marketing role- Strong communications (written & oral) skills, experience writing marketing content preferred- Flair for creative design and experience working with graphic designers- Ability to work and negotiate with vendors (timelines, budget and services)- Well-organized, detail-oriented and able to handle multiple deadlines in a high pressure environment- Strong copywriting and editing skills- Excellent PC skills (MS Office, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Acrobat)- Must be able to work effectively independently and as part of a team- Social media experience an assetPacific Newspaper Group offers a highly competitive salary with benefits.
